Love Is... A Gift respects & values the privacy of all our customers & visitors. We do not pass on any information to 3rd parties.

We use Shopify to store contact details & use this information to send out newsletters about new products or special offers. 
If you no longer wish for your contact details to be stored using Shopify, please contact us & we will remove you from our automated newsletter system.  

This Privacy Policy describes how www.loveisagift.co (the “Site” or “we”) collects, uses, & discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.  We strive to comply with the highest standards in data protection rules & privacy & are committed to protect & secure the data of our users & customers.  We also enforce all applicable laws & restrictions.

COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, & information necessary to process your purchases & during the provision of our services.  We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support.  In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information that can uniquely identify an individual (including the information below) as “Personal Information”.  See the list below for more information about what Personal Information we collect & why.

    • Your name, address, email & contact number will be passed to our shipping partner & mail providers in your region in order for them to deliver your goods.  These mail companies may contact you by email or phone with further delivery instructions.

    SUBSCRIBING TO NEWSLETTERS

    We use contact information collected during subscription to send you the newsletter in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR.  When you send an e-mail message to or otherwise contact the Site, we may use the information provided by you as described in this Privacy Policy &/or to respond to your communication in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR if the communication is necessary to perform our contract with you &/or Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR if it is in our legitimate economic interest to do so.

    USING PERSONAL INFORMATION

    We use your personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping & fulfillment of your order, & keeping you up to date on new products, services, & offers.

    Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), if you are a resident of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), we process your personal information under the following lawful bases:

    • The performance of the contract between you & the Site;

    RETENTION

    AUTOMATIC DECISION-MAKING

    We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.

    Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

    Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

    • Temporary denylist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This denylist persists for a small number of hours.
    • Temporary denylist of credit cards associated with denylisted IP addresses. This denylist persists for a small number of days.

    If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, & to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased.
